What do you do when you see a horror movie that’s so forgettable and so mediocre that you can’t find that much to talk about? Talk about it of course!
This week we take a look at the 1988 film “Scarecrows” and why it probably couldn’t even scare a crow if it tried. Sure, the film has a few good points about it, some great effects, cool villains and a fun character or two, but it’s monotone pacing, forgettable protagonists and whiny teen character far outweigh the good.
Still, there’s some good comedy to be found here, just not 15 minutes worth.
All in all though, it’s a great movie concept that, if it had been done just a teensy bit better, could have been really interesting. However, as it is, it’s just another mediocre slasher film with a few things going for it.
You’d probably get more fun out of making your own scarecrow than watching this film…
